Jodhpur’s Pal Road Sees Rs 500 Cr Housing Boost

Jodhpur is witnessing significant momentum in its affordable housing segment, especially along the Pal Road corridor. New residential developments in this region have collectively secured investment commitments worth Rs 500 crore, with a primary focus on creating housing options for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) buyers.

These projects aim to address the growing demand for budget-friendly homes, offering 1–2 BHK units in the price range of Rs 20–30 lakh. The targeted demographic includes low- to mid-income families, especially those working in the informal sector, small business owners, and public sector employees.

Pal Road, which has steadily evolved as a residential extension of Jodhpur city, is seeing improved infrastructure including widened roads, drainage upgrades, and better access to public transport. This has increased the area’s appeal for developers aiming to build affordable yet well-connected housing clusters.

Government support through schemes such as PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) and quicker approval processes have also encouraged developers to take on large-scale EWS projects. These homes are expected to be delivered within the next 18–24 months and are likely to include basic community facilities such as parks, internal roads, and primary healthcare centres.

Real estate analysts suggest that such focused investments will not only provide housing security for economically vulnerable groups but also contribute to the planned urban expansion of Jodhpur. As affordability and connectivity remain key priorities, Pal Road may become a model zone for other Tier-2 cities looking to develop inclusive housing ecosystems.
