What the Law Says:

  • Agents must be registered with RERA before facilitating any sale in RERA-registered projects

  • Must quote their RERA registration number in all deals and advertisements

  • Can’t promote or sell unregistered projects

  • Must provide accurate project details—no false claims or misleading ads

  • Required to maintain records and documents of transactions

  • Can be penalized or banned for unfair trade practices or non-compliance

 Legal Duties Under RERA:

  • Ensure buyers get all documents they’re entitled to

  • Avoid misrepresentation of approvals, timelines, or amenities

  • Cooperate with grievance redressal if disputes arise

  • Uphold a professional code of conduct
