Ajmer’s Eco-Friendly Homes See 12% Sales Growth

Ajmer is making notable strides in sustainable real estate, with solar-powered and eco-friendly housing projects witnessing a 12% rise in sales this quarter. This surge reflects a growing preference among homebuyers for green living options that align with environmental values and offer long-term energy savings.
These eco-homes, priced between ₹50–70 lakh, are primarily concentrated in developing localities like Panchsheel Nagar and areas around Ana Sagar Lake. Builders are incorporating features such as rooftop solar panels, rainwater harvesting systems, waste segregation units, and better thermal insulation to reduce dependence on traditional energy sources.
Buyers—especially younger professionals and environmentally aware families—are increasingly attracted to the dual benefits of lower electricity bills and reduced carbon footprints. The government's push for green certifications and local policies promoting energy-efficient construction are further fueling interest.
Moreover, banks and financial institutions are beginning to offer favorable loan schemes for certified green homes, making them more accessible to mid-income buyers. As demand continues to rise, developers in Ajmer are responding by planning more such projects, which is likely to make the city a model for sustainable urban development in Rajasthan.
