J&K Expands Digital Registry to Srinagar

Blockchain Boosts Property Transparency in Srinagar
The Jammu & Kashmir administration has expanded its blockchain-based digital land registry system to Srinagar, aiming to bring more transparency and efficiency to the city’s growing real estate market, particularly in tourism-centric zones.
After a successful rollout in Jammu, the move to digitize land titles in Srinagar is expected to curb land disputes, ease ownership verification, and fast-track transactions. With rising investor interest in tourism-driven projects, including boutique hotels, homestays, and eco-resorts, a secure and transparent registry system enhances buyer confidence.
Officials confirmed that Srinagar’s registry integration will also sync with GIS maps for better planning and urban governance.
