Udaipur, one of Tripura’s culturally significant towns, is witnessing a marked rise in its residential real estate market. Sales of affordable housing units have increased by 12%, driven largely by the town’s growing popularity among domestic tourists, especially pilgrims visiting temples and heritage sites along the Gomati River.

Developers are responding with a steady supply of budget-friendly homes aimed at middle-income buyers and seasonal residents. Many of these residential projects are strategically located near major temples and town centers, offering convenience and spiritual proximity to long-term buyers and weekend travelers alike.

Prices for 2 BHK units typically range from ₹18 lakh to ₹28 lakh, making them accessible to both local families and investors. These properties are also seeing interest from NRIs and second-home seekers who want a spiritual retreat without premium city pricing.

The growth is not only driven by demand but also by improved local infrastructure. Upgraded roads, better sanitation facilities, and access to public transport have made Udaipur more liveable, especially in areas around Matabari and Old Udaipur.

Builders are integrating features like community halls, rooftop gardens, and solar-powered lighting to appeal to eco-conscious buyers and families looking for value with utility. Several state and central schemes are also aiding in funding and easing the approval process for these projects.
