The serene town of Udaipur in Tripura is witnessing a steady rise in demand for tourism-focused real estate, especially in areas near the scenic Gomati River. Plot prices in this region have gone up by 10%, now ranging between Rs 8 to 12 lakh for a standard 1,000 sq ft parcel.

This surge is being driven by the growing interest in resort development and eco-tourism ventures, with investors targeting the riverfront for weekend getaways, boutique hotels, and nature-centric accommodations. The Gomati River’s lush surroundings, cultural heritage, and peaceful atmosphere make it an ideal spot for leisure and tourism-related projects.

With tourism being a key development focus for Tripura, the state government has been improving road access, water availability, and connectivity in this belt. These enhancements have increased investor confidence and made land near the river more accessible and viable for commercial tourism use.
