Rajasthan has taken a progressive step in real estate governance by launching a blockchain-based digital land registry system in Jodhpur. This initiative aims to minimize land disputes, simplify property ownership verification, and boost investor confidence—particularly in commercial land transactions.

The introduction of blockchain technology ensures that land records are immutable, transparent, and easily accessible. Each transaction and ownership update is recorded in a secure digital ledger, making it nearly impossible to tamper with. This drastically reduces the potential for fraudulent claims, overlapping titles, and ownership confusion, which have historically been major hurdles in Rajasthan’s property market.

The pilot rollout in Jodhpur focuses initially on commercial plots, given the rising interest from industrial and institutional investors in the region. With the city seeing increased demand for logistics hubs, educational institutions, and corporate parks, clear and tamper-proof land titles are critical for streamlined investments and project execution.
