Faridabad’s real estate market is showing resilience, with property prices remaining stable despite the recent 20% hike in External Development Charges (EDC). While developers initially anticipated price surges, market trends indicate steady demand and balanced pricing, easing concerns among homebuyers.
The Haryana government’s EDC revision, effective from January 2025, aims to fund infrastructure improvements, including roads, drainage, and utilities. However, developers have absorbed costs strategically, ensuring that affordable housing projects remain accessible to buyers.
Experts predict that Faridabad’s stability will continue, supported by metro connectivity, commercial expansion, and government-backed housing schemes. As urbanization accelerates, the city is expected to maintain buyer-friendly pricing, reinforcing its position as a key residential hub in NCR.
