Ladakh’s First REIT Proposed

REIT to Attract Investment in Eco-Tourism Realty in Leh
Ladakh is set to witness a new chapter in real estate investment as a Leh-focused Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) is proposed. This will be the first REIT in the Union Territory, aiming to channel institutional and retail investment into eco-tourism and sustainable hospitality projects.
The proposed REIT will focus on income-generating properties like eco-lodges, homestays, and hospitality ventures in high-demand areas such as Leh, Pangong Lake, and Nubra Valley. The initiative is designed to create a transparent, structured investment model for both local and national investors, encouraging participation in Ladakh’s growing eco-tourism sector.
If approved, the REIT could strengthen Ladakh’s realty infrastructure, enhance investor confidence, and pave the way for sustainable development across the region.
