Srinagar’s Tourism Plots Attract ₹300 Cr

Gulmarg Resort Projects Drive Commercial Plot Surge
Srinagar
Srinagar’s tourism-linked real estate is witnessing a major boost, with resort projects in Gulmarg attracting ₹300 crore in private investments, leading to a 10% surge in commercial plot prices. Plots are now priced between ₹2,500–3,500 per sq ft, especially in tourism zones and approach roads to Gulmarg.
This investment wave comes amid a surge in high-end tourism and hospitality demand, prompting developers to secure prime land parcels for eco-resorts, boutique hotels, and experience-based stays. Stakeholders report a spike in interest from both domestic hospitality chains and international eco-tourism firms.
Local authorities have eased land-use policies in selected zones to encourage tourism infrastructure while preserving the ecological balance. Commercial plots near Tangmarg and the Srinagar-Gulmarg highway are particularly witnessing accelerated bookings.
Experts believe this trend will strengthen Srinagar’s position as a high-potential leisure and investment destination, combining natural beauty with upgraded tourist amenities.
