Chandigarh’s First REIT Attracts Investor Interest

Tricity’s Landmark REIT Launch Boosts Commercial Realty
Chandigarh | May 2025:
Chandigarh and Mohali mark a milestone with the debut of the region’s first Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), focusing on commercial properties in New Chandigarh and Mohali. This new investment vehicle aims to attract both domestic and institutional investors by offering access to high-quality office spaces and retail complexes.
The REIT promises stable rental yields and diversified exposure to the growing commercial real estate market in the Tricity area. Analysts say this development will increase liquidity, improve market transparency, and encourage more large-scale commercial projects.
Investors are showing strong interest given the REIT’s portfolio that includes prime assets along key business corridors and tech parks, especially in New Chandigarh’s emerging business hubs and Mohali’s IT corridors.
This launch signals a maturing real estate market in the region, aligning Chandigarh with other major Indian cities where REITs have become a popular investment route.
