Chandigarh Cuts Building Permit Times 20%

Faster Approvals Boost Chandigarh Residential Projects
Chandigarh | May 2025:
The Chandigarh administration has streamlined the building permit process, reducing approval times by 20% for residential projects. This move is expected to accelerate construction activity in key areas such as Sector 35 and New Chandigarh.
By simplifying procedures and digitizing workflows, the city aims to enhance ease of doing business and attract more developers. Homebuyers can expect faster project completions and quicker possession timelines, fueling demand for 2–4 BHK apartments priced between Rs 80 lakh and Rs 1.5 crore.
Real estate analysts believe this reform will strengthen Chandigarh’s housing market, promoting transparency and encouraging investments in both affordable and premium segments.
