Lucknow’s Hazratganj Retail Leasing Up 15%

Retail Boom in Hazratganj: Lucknow’s Leasing Rises 15% Amid High Demand
Lucknow’s premium retail hub, Hazratganj, is witnessing a remarkable 15% surge in retail space leasing, signaling a strong revival in high-street commerce. The rental rates in the area have climbed to ₹70–100 per sq ft per month, reflecting increased demand from national and regional brands.
This upswing is being driven by a combination of factors — post-pandemic consumer footfall recovery, festive season sales, rising disposable incomes, and the popularity of Hazratganj as a heritage shopping district that blends tradition with modern retail experiences.
Retailers across fashion, electronics, lifestyle, and food & beverage segments are expanding their footprints here, drawn by the locality’s central location, pedestrian-friendly layout, and tourist appeal. The surge is also supported by infrastructure improvements and better traffic and parking management initiated by the Lucknow Development Authority.
Developers and property owners are now repositioning older properties to match the demands of modern high-street formats, offering renovated facades, glass-fronted displays, and better amenities to attract premium tenants.
Real estate analysts expect this leasing momentum to continue over the next two quarters, with Hazratganj’s rental value likely to increase further as retailers compete for limited prime spots.
