High-street retail spaces along major roads and market hubs have particularly benefited. Rentals for these commercial spots have risen steadily, currently ranging between ₹25–₹45 per sq ft per month. This makes Dharmanagar an attractive destination for retailers seeking affordable yet strategically located premises in Tripura.

Real estate developers and property consultants have noted that both local and outside investors are actively looking for leasing opportunities in sectors such as fashion retail, electronics, daily essentials, and small-format supermarkets. The recent improvements in public infrastructure—especially widened roads and better street lighting—have added to the commercial appeal.
