Dharmanagar’s Industrial Hub Secures ₹350 Crore Boost

Dharmanagar’s position as a key industrial destination in Tripura has strengthened significantly, with the Panisagar Industrial Zone securing investments worth ₹350 crore. This major financial push is set to transform the region’s commercial infrastructure and has already triggered notable growth in the leasing of commercial spaces.

The ₹350 crore funding is directed toward developing multi-sector industrial facilities, improving logistics corridors, and expanding utility networks like roads, water, and power. Several medium and large-scale industries, including packaging, agro-processing, and light manufacturing, are planning to set up units within this zone. This strategic shift is expected to generate significant employment opportunities and attract skilled talent to North Tripura.

The Panisagar zone has been increasingly viewed as a cost-effective industrial alternative to larger metros due to its lower land costs, improving connectivity, and active government support.
