Udaipur’s Tourism Plot Prices Rise 15% Near Lake

Udaipur’s real estate market is witnessing a notable upswing, especially in tourism-centric zones. Demand for resort and vacation home plots near the scenic Fateh Sagar Lake has driven a 15% increase in land prices, now ranging between ₹20–25 lakh for 1,000 sq ft plots.
This surge is primarily fueled by investors and hospitality developers seeking to tap into the city’s growing tourist influx. With Udaipur known globally for its lakes, palaces, and luxury tourism, proximity to Fateh Sagar Lake has become a major advantage for realty investments.
The plots being snapped up are often earmarked for boutique resorts, holiday homes, and wellness retreats. Most of these lands offer lake views, good road access, and potential for high short-term rental yields through platforms like Airbnb.
In addition, improved infrastructure such as widened approach roads, enhanced water supply, and urban beautification initiatives by the municipal corporation have added to the area’s appeal. Developers are marketing these plots as long-term appreciating assets with lifestyle and commercial potential.
Experts forecast continued appreciation in plot prices over the next year, especially as tourism in Rajasthan picks up momentum post-pandemic and Udaipur cements its status as a prime luxury and wedding destination.
